New paper: Polymorphic duplications can generate false trans-eQTLs

Alber Aqil led this one, out in the American Journal of Human Genetics. The short version: when sequencing reads coming from polymorphic duplications are mismapped, they can produce trans-eQTL signals that look convincing but are not real. Given how heavily the field leans on eQTL catalogs, it is worth knowing where these artifacts come from and how to spot them. Here is the paper.
