I was interviewed on a really interesting question that Jared Diamond ask a time ago: Was Neolithic a big mistake? I personally do not think so, even though I understand where people who make the claim come from. I am also fascinated by the human-led construction of new ecologies and its effect on the evolution of diverse array of species, including humans themselves. It is an interesting debate that will get only more fascinating with all the new data coming from ancient genomes and new archaeological understanding of the period.
